2020
So, Lets talk about this shit show of year! Pardon my French, but guys it's warranted at this time. So my year started off pretty good: new and first grandbaby born in November of 2019, my job while isn't perfect is still pretty good, at first we were talking about this new crazy virus going on in China, I remember telling my co-workers that there was no way that virus wasn't already in the U.S., fast forward to studies now starting to show that yes, it has been here longer than 2020, plus add in all of this other craziness this year has brought us. I knew going into January 1st 2020 that it would most likely be a bit crazy, history shows election years and those that end in 0 tend to be. I managed to miss my grand baby walking due to dealing with Covid myself after I managed along with my entire immediate family to get it in June after I followed all of the lovely guidelines...our 4th of July was very mundane to say the least, but thanks to God All Mighty we all survived without any hospitalizations and just in time to watch my first born daughter graduate (albeit a bit late) from high school.
In response to weathering the storm with God at our helm, we were able to purchase our first ever new home that was so desperately needed.
Let's not forget that 2020 has also reminded us the values of slowing down, taking time to breathe and value our families. An added bonus is also showing so many companies just how much work can be done from home, one of my favorites!
I want to extend my prayers to all who were left behind by loved ones taken from them by this truly awful virus and those still battling it.
